Health Specialist
Kelly is a licensed Mental Health Counselor having much of her life, practice and experience dedicated in supporting children and their families. She is a Licensed Child Psychotherapy Specialist. Her style is unique and her interest is to find ways that support and develop the natural strengths in people. She likes to help families, children and adolescents to understand themselves and to gain insights into who they are and what they are like in both their character and the roles they play in life, and in connection with others. The depth of Kelly’s work is in getting adolescents, children, and families to grow to trust in themselves and their ability to work through the challenge of difficult times and difficult feelings, to find a sense of significance and or understanding that can be key to improving one’s overall life functioning.

“I like to look at patterns in a person’s life to see how their life is put together, and I use storytelling often to do this. I have a real interest in Learning styles and play with this to understand how people see problems and learn. I am always thinking about what I learn in session, and what supports each person’s growth and development. I will offer challenges “enough but not too much” ; and may refer people to other community supports like doctors, school staff, family, and friends to be reassured that growth and development continues. I play in many creative arts like collage, movement, storytelling, dreams, and non-verbal play of painting and drawing and sand tray.”
